Raise your vibration by joining me this week!
My brother and I had a unique sense of humour!
If you have been reading my blog, you’ll know about my project to help the homeless in London. You may have already donated to my donation page or bought supplies from my Amazon wish list. Thank you so very much!
I’m proposing this week to anyone who knew my little brother, Tim, or can relate to wanting to do good in this world and bring light to a day of tragedy. So, wherever you are in this world, can you find a way to notice anyone without a home and give them something that will help them this week? Perhaps it’s just stopping to talk to them and being present in that moment, or maybe it’s buying them something to eat or giving them something to help them feel loved and seen.
If you’re local and either live in St Albans or London and have time on Thursday, the 21st of November, please feel free to get in touch and join me in London as my friend Katrina and I bring several huge wheelie suitcases stuffed with supplies to the Whitechapel Mission in East London.
We’d welcome the company, especially if you’d like to join us in bringing much-needed supplies to the men and women that the Whitechapel Mission are trying to support every day. After telephoning them recently, we learned that they don’t have government support and are entirely run by volunteers. Some days, they feed up to 600 people, which is incredible!
Katrina and I have decided to bring what fits into our luggage. Then, after dropping off everything, we’ll take our luggage to the nearby grocery store to purchase anything else the Mission might need using the funds donated to us by so many of you! I’m hoping to be able to stop and speak with those they’re helping to learn what is needed, most of all, so I can focus on gathering these items for the coming months.
I’ve used your generous monetary donations to purchase toiletries and food and have also gone through my wardrobe to add gently used shoes, jumpers, jeans, t-shirts and coats, and I’m still convinced I can find more.
What do you think about making the 21st of November a Day of Giving worldwide in memory of Tim, my younger brother and everyone who has lost a loved one? It would mean the world to me and my mum! I know without a doubt that Tim would join us and will very much be with us in spirit, as helping others was very important to him!
As I want to continue helping individuals impacted by homelessness for as long as I can, please feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions or ideas that you think might help. The more I can learn, the better I can help others.
Whether it’s something you believe or not, I feel that the currency of love is what is most important in this world, and to use this lifetime to generate love and caring for every individual is a way of raising our vibrations or frequencies, which brings calm and peace for each of us and hopefully those we help too.
I’ve been reading a lot about this topic because, of course, I’m studying reiki, and daily, I’m focusing on being more aware or awake spiritually. I’m reading some fascinating books on the topic, such as “Raise Your SQ: How the Power of Spiritual Intelligence Can Change Your Life in 7 Days” by Annie Ridout and “Raise Your Vibration: High Vibe Tools to Support Your Spiritual Awakening” by Kyle Gray as well as anything written by Sharon Blackie! (if you are as obsessed with reading as I am, connect with me on Goodreads so we can learn from each other!)
Along with these types of reading topics, I’ve found a fascinating place in London to study called Clearly Destiny. It is a little shop/place of learning in a somewhat hidden part of the city. Of course, I spend significant time at the fascinating Watkins Books, which continues to feed my steady need for all things spiritual/meditative, etc. I would highly recommend these places to anyone as keen as I am!
I look forward to having you join me this week in person and worldwide to help others, and yourselves raise our vibrations. I still feel the trepidation of the approaching anniversary of my brother demonstrating how to leave the physical plane of existence. He is an excellent spiritual teacher, that is for sure, and fairly often, he shows me he’s still here, which is reassuring. I am grateful for his presence in those moments, which keeps me wanting to learn more about what it means to be this soul in this body in this lifetime.
I hope that decades from now, when I step out of this life, I can look back and say that I did as much as possible to help as many people as possible. Tim did so much in his 42 years, and I feel I have a long way to go before I feel satisfied that I’ve done even close to what he achieved in his lifetime.
I’m grateful for this project to help those impacted by homelessness, and I am awed and inspired by everyone who has jumped in to help me help others. So far, this has been an incredible experience!
I’m equally excited and nervous about the 21st of November! It’s going to be an amazing day and a great learning experience, (I hope), and I can’t wait for it to be repeated in the coming months!
Thank you so much to everyone who is getting involved, and thank you for your support by donating, purchasing supplies, and continuing to support me by reading my blog posts!
Peace to all!
