Winter Workshops and New Energy Adventures!

pic collage from 2024 to 2025

I visited my mum in Texas over the Christmas holidays and had my first Christmas in the family home since my brothers’ departure from life. Understandably, my mum and I felt as if we were holding our breath during the entire time, and both felt relieved once we got through the significant dates of the holidays. I’m relieved we found new ways of creating memories, even though this time of the year is really challenging. We feel that we can’t repeat the traditions we used to have without my brother present. It's stressful, but I’m glad I could spend time with my mum. For a short while, it was blissfully sunny, which was lovely after the winter gloom of England!

I returned to the UK last week. I have been trying to overcome jetlag while launching new projects like upgrading my Reiki training and beginning mediumship training at a local spiritual church. I have so much to say about both things, which I’m sure I’ll write more about in future posts.

As I write this, I still feel sluggish from jet lag and the melatonin I took last night to get my sleep back on track. My full to-do list keeps me on track, too, which is good as I need reasons to stay awake!

I recently rearranged the rooms in my flat so that what used to be my bedroom is now my art studio. This is much better, as my studio is bigger and more accommodating for teaching classes. It’s also nice to have a smaller bedroom that looks out on the green graveyard and makes for a peaceful place to meditate and sleep.

I’ve added a new workshop to my website to launch my new classes this year in my newly set-up studio, which I’m excited about. I’m creating seminars about how I work in the studio and utilising the fun and tasty places in my village, which I think others will enjoy. If you’d like to read about my upcoming “Winter Walking Workshop” workshop, please click through the title to learn more. I’m limiting attendance to just four places because my studio is tiny and also because smaller classes are more enjoyable as I can work more one-to-one with individuals, which I find more rewarding.

I’m still offering my Friday Lates Drawing class at the V&A on January 24th. There are already very few places left as so many people have booked in for the new year. Lots of New Year's resolutions are probably inspiring those sales! I’m looking forward to meeting those people who’ve already signed up.

My project this week is rearranging the furniture in my living room to improve the sloping floor and how I sit on the sofa, which at the moment gives the impression of tipping you out because the floor is so tilted! Period properties are fun in many ways, let me tell you!

Another project I’m still working on is to help people experiencing homelessness, for which I’ve been unable to generate funds or donations as I’ve been travelling. I still have a few items of clothing I can donate, so I’ll see what I can put together and try to bring my donations to a shelter on the 21st of January. I’m keen to find a different shelter to donate to this month as I thought it would be nice to look at other places that need help rather than sticking to one area. If you’re planning to be in London on the 21st of January and want to join me in bringing much needed donations to help, please get in touch so we can plan to meet up, as I’d love the company!

I hope everyone who reads this blog has had a lovely holiday with loved ones. I send you all my love and gratitude for taking the time to read my post.

Love and light to all,
Franceska
